Don't Let Bottle Caps Go To Waste
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Creative Crew, Lonedell's Recycling Arts Club, is taking part in the A Bench for Caps (ABC) program. This program takes plastic bottle caps and turns them into benches and tables. The club's goal is to collect enough plastic bottle caps to get an 8 foot long picnic table that is ADA (American's with Disabilities Act) accessible. The table will be placed on our playground area. We need to collect 1,100 pounds of bottle caps in order to meet the goal. So far, we have collected over 450 pounds of lids!
Please send in washed plastic bottle caps to your child's classroom. There will be a competition to see which classroom collects the most caps. The winning classroom gets a tasty reward! The competition goes through April 28.
