NJHS Travels to Conference

On March 7 and 8, 26 National Junior Honor Society attended the state MANHS conference at Lake of the Ozark.  The theme this year was "Oh, say can you Lead."  The students heard from Camille Yameen.  Camille is from Kansas City, Missouri.  She has been around the world and back again as she has gone from publicist in the bright lights of Las Vegas to Peace Corps Volunteer in Madagascar to professional speaker based in Kansas City, Missouri.  Camille talked with the students on finding their spark in life and having a servant's heart.  The students attended sessions on life lessons from Ted Giesel, You better know where you're going, escaping the room, chasing the dragon, and flag etiquette and protocol as well as others.

The students participated in the state service project of collecting personal care items and making blankets for the MO Veterans Home.  We would like to thank our sponsors for helping to make this trip possible:  Wagner's Mobile, Farmers and Merchants Bank, Russell's Funeral Home, St. Clair Elks, St. Clair Healthmart, Sinks Pharmacy, Lonedell PTO, and the Lonedell commnuity.
