Red Ribbon Week 2018

TREND Leaders recently hosted Red Ribbon Week.  Red Ribbon Week is a time we remind ourselves that remaining Tobacco, Alcohol, and Drug Free is the best way to live a healthy lifestyle.  Throughout the week, students were encouraged to dress up for spirit days themed "Follow Your Dreams". As you can see from the photos, they enjoyed each day.

TREND Leaders also had the opportunity to participate in a “Sticker Shock” campaign funded through the Franklin County Youth Coalition. The coalition is comprised of middle school students throughout Franklin County who are working to help reduce the effect of drugs and alcohol in their community.

Sticker Shock involves local retailers supporting our youth by allowing them to place colorful, eye-catching stickers on alcohol products to remind customers that it is against the law to purchase alcohol with the intention of providing it to minors.

The campaign will culminate with a get-together including all the participating middle schools.  Students will have the opportunity to display a presentation board and discuss their success and any disappointments experienced during the campaign. The evening will also include a guest speaker and St. Clair McDonald’s will provide dinner through a generous donation by Klak Management Corp.

We would like to recognize the following retailers for participating in the Sticker Shock campaign this year. Wagner’s Mobil and Dollar General in Lonedell, K’s Kwik Korner, Ranch House and Fastlane in St. Clair thank you for supporting our students in their efforts to live a healthy lifestyle.
