Pen Pal Sends Gifts to First Graders
Our first graders in Mrs. Friel's class have been writing to their pen pal soldier who was stationed overseas. Their last letter was sent before break, and they have been waiting patiently for a response. They've learned that South Korea is very far away and it can take a long time to get correspondence from there. This week they received a letter back and a souvenir for all of them, all the way from South Korea!
The students spent time during their writing unit over Writing Messages and Letters to write him a message thanking him for the gift and asked him a question. These little ones were very excited to hear from their soldier.
