Student Council Gearing Up for a Great Year
Launch the media gallery 1 playerOur Student Council has always been a great group of kids doing things for our community. This year, we are stronger than ever! Members are Peyton D., Ashley M., Charlee D., Emma J., Boedy D., Johnny C., Lane S., Tarah W., Emerlyn R., Paiton H., Carter S., Jayden F., Zander A., Alex H., Ozzy S., Mya B., Natalee V., Rachael A., Riley L., Ryan M., Tyler G., Madi U., Grace M., Hailey H., Gage W., with sponsors Mrs. Vollmer and Mr. Flora.
Some of the events they are hosting this year include McLovin' our Staff. This will be a fundraising event, but also a treat for staff members to thank them for working on their off time at McTeacher's Night. The funds raised will benefit Special Olympics. You will also find them manning booths at the Bobcat Boosters Car Show and Craft Fair. They will serve as student ambassadors to car owners and those with booths.
The group will be attending The Student Council District Conference in October where they will represent our school among many other schools throughout Missouri. During this conference, our students will spend time learning about leadership, community, and activism.
"We have a great bunch of students this year. I am so excited to see what they will do! We have some students who have really stepped up into leadership roles," stated Mrs. Vollmer. If you see any of these kids asking you to donate or help in some way, we can assure you they will represent our school very well.
