DARE Class Raises Money and Supplies for Vets

Our 5th grade DARE class really stepped up to help veterans this year.  Not only did they raise $75 with their "Kiss A Goat" contest, they brought in 4,099 items that will be dispersed locally at the VFW and then to the Missouri Veteran's Home in St. James.

It was a close race between Mr. Flora, Mrs. Koenig, Mrs. Dunn, and Dr. Dierker, but Mr. Flora came out in front in the Kiss A Goat contest.  He was lucky that the goat was very sweet and didn't mind getting a smooch from him.  The students definitely didn't mind watching this fun event that helped our local vets.

Throughout the month, these students have also collected toiletry items to help our local VFW and the Missouri Veteran's Home.  They filled Ms. Dooley's classroom with all kinds of personal items.  The students especially enjoyed packing the truck that will deliver the items.

Deputy O'Fallon will be holding DARE graduation on Friday, November 15th at 10:00 am.
