Sports Banquet 2021
We recently celebrated our 2021 student athletes at the Sports Banquet. Players from basketball, volleyball, and cheerleading were honored in front of parents set in family unit groups to ensure a safe environment. Students and families were addressed by Dr. Dierker who stated how proud he was of these students for persevering during a very unusual season. Lonedell graduate, Macalyn LaCrone was the featured speaker. "Your Lonedell family are your teammates. Whether it’s on the court, walking across the stage at graduation, or just sitting in Mrs Vollmers history class, the people surrounding you right now will have an impact on you for the rest of your lives. My advice to you is this, find something you love and do it with the people you love," stated LaCrone.
Guests were served dinner and dessert and students were called up one by one to receive awards from their respective coaches, Mr. Brake, Mrs. Hill, and Mr. Gleidt. The final award given was for Mr. and Miss Lonedell as chosen by their teachers. Johnny Chapman and Tarah West were selected. We are excited to see these student athletes continue in their sports next season. Good luck to our 8th graders as they move on to high school.
