Mrs. Friel Strikes Again

Mrs. Frizzle, ahem Friel, and her scientists have been at it again. This time it was K-3 that's been exploring the whys and how comes of the world around them.

Kindergarten have been reviewing the 5 senses and took their clipboards on an outdoor adventure to observe the world around the playground hillside. It was a "sense"ible afternoon.

It's raining, it's pouring, 1st grade, while talking about types of weather, created "rain" with a little water, shaving cream, and blue food coloring. They learned when a cloud fills up with "water" all that cloud can do is let it rain.

And 2-3 grades ended their Scientist job unit, by being Paleontologist's themselves. Using an excavating tool (a toothpick), they excavated "fossils" from the sweetest "rock"- a chocolate cookie. It was really a patience building excavation! But the payday....delicious!!
